The age groups below are for the new season 2026-27 Starting in September 2026.
Age Group Lookup
You need to know your child’s age group.
Registering Before Trial
For safety and for insurance purposes no child may attend any Sheen Lions FC session unless their details are registered with us in advance.
We use TeamFeePay to manage players attending and you must register on TeamFeePay using the appropriate link below to express your interest for a trial. There is no fee required to trial. TFP does collect a full set of information but this will then be on file ready to set up your membership when your child hopefully joins following the trial.
If you wish to discuss joining before completing the TFP registration you should contact a Manager for your child’s age group by email. Contact details are on the Club Contacts page on this website.
Once You Are Registered
You need to wait until you are contacted by the appropriate manager to be invited to a session. If you do not hear shortly feel free to chase them politely by email to get their attention. They are volunteer parents, this is not their job. Contact details are on the Club Contacts page on this website.
Age Groups U06 to U11
It is normally possible to trial and join these age groups during the season up until late January / early February. Note however that we do not pro-rata fees, the fees remain the same up until Christmas, there is a discount after Christmas.
Once you have registered you will be contacted by a manager and invited to attend ONE training sessions. It is then your decision if you wish your child to joint and the Manager’s decision whether a match squad place can be offered. Players not in a match squad attend training but we still register them with the League and they may be called up for matches depending on their progress. U07 and younger do not play regular matches.
Age Groups U12 up to U18
From U12 players must be offered a match squad place to join the club. Most squads are likely to have some places but less so as the season goes on. You may wish to contact a Manager for your child’s age group by email to check on opportunities before going to the trouble of registering. Contact details are on the Club Contacts page on this website, mention your child’s football experience to date.
Once you have registered you will be contacted by a manager and invited to attend TWO training sessions. The manager we then decide if they can offer a match squad place. If you have not heard after your trial or if you need to delay your trial email the Manager, Contact details are on the Club Contacts page on this website.
